Homework Overview

Welcome to the Year 5 Homework page!

Each week you will need to complete your Literacy task and Maths homework. Your homework will be set on a Friday and will be due the following Wednesday. Your homework will be based on previous learning. This homework can be found at the bottom of this webpage. Please ensure you are presenting your homework neatly and trying your best.

If you need help or are unsure of the task, you need to make sure that you speak to your class teacher before it is due. They will always be happy to help you.

Additionally, you need to be reading at least three times a week and recording this in your guided reading book to work your way up the reading badges.

Homework

We will set a piece of Maths and GPS work weekly in the CGP books.The worksheets that they need to complete will be written weekly on the front page. These need to be returned to school by Wednesday. Every fortnight, they will also be set an additional reading homework that will come home in the orange books.

 

Along with their homework, they will continue to have acces to TTRS and Rollama. They can practice their timetables and grammar at home. As well as, reading a minimum of three times a week.

Reading is a fantastic way to learn new things, discover exciting adventures and develop your imagination. If you are looking for your next great book, take a look at Lifts to Reading. It can help you find books that are similar to the ones you already enjoy and introduce you to new authors and genres.

Some of these books may be available in our school library, but don't forget to visit your local library too. You might be surprised by all the amazing books waiting to be discovered!
