Childcare in the Den

We have a lovely base for childcare and family learning in the Den

The Den offers parents the opportunity to have an exceptional level of childcare on the school site, for up to 40 pupils. 

The Den is open between 7.50am and 8.40am each day and is led by Sarah Peppard (speppard@olqoh.com).

Children are offered a choice of breakfast and there is plenty of time to have a play with a wide range of toys, games and TV available. In good weather, the children also have use of the KS1 playground and/or Field.

Places need to be booked and paid for in advance.  Jane Guttridge is the Administrator for The Den. Jane can be contacted by emailing theden@olqoh.com

It is possible to book the same day each week throughout the school terms (see link below to book), or alternatively, if you work a shift pattern, you can complete the individual term booking forms. Email Jane to request these termly forms. If places are not available, you will be advised by email and placed on a waiting list.

The Den Booking Form Academic Year 2026/27

If you wish to book just a one off session in The Den, please apply for the place (giving at least 48 hours notice to give time for your request to be actioned) by completing the following form. If you cannot give the required minimum notice and/or you have not received an email confirming the requested place, please do not send your child to The Den - Ofsted state that we have to ensure we have the correct pupil:staff ratio in place - thank you for your attention to this detail.

If we cannot provide a place at The Den, we refer you to Willow Tree Pre School who run a breakfast club with a walking bus service to the school. Link below for your information.
