Every week the children will be set 1 piece of Maths and 1 piece of English. Alongside their English and Maths, they will have their spelling to be practised at home in preparation for their test in the week. If you need a TTRS log in please speak to your teacher. However, they are the same as last year.

As you may have seen, we have introduced a new spelling scheme. The children will bring home their spelling books (that must be brought back to school every day) where they will practise their spelling on a smaller scale. They will be tested on most Fridays. However, they may have an activity-based test that will still require them to know their spelling.

If you need help or are unsure of the task, you need to make sure that you speak to your class teacher before it is due. They will always be happy to help you.

If you are looking for book recommendations or wondering how to branch out your children's literature that is similar to texts they are already reading. Look at lifts to try and find similar genres. Some of these books will be available in our library, but for more success please acces your local library.
