Our School Council & RE School Council

The School Council is elected by fellow pupils. Each class from Year 2 to Year 6 has a representative, each Council serves for one year, with a new Council being elected every September.

The School Council support Mr Melia by making sure the views of the children are heard when important decisions are made.

The School Council have regular meetings, and also organise special events, alongside Miss O’Donoghue (Y2 Teacher).

A current issue for the School Council is to help Mr Melia and the Governors to develop the EYFS outside area and to introduce more areas of shade.

The RE School Council work alongside the School Council, and are coordinated by Mrs Loftus and Mrs Kluge.

The RE School Council regularly meet with Father Nelson, our Chaplain, to discuss issues and plan events.

    • To lead the promotion of our School Values, including understanding and respect for all.
    • To work with the Friends of School (FoS) to increase pupil involvement in organising events such as the Summer Fete and in generating class funds for each class.
    • To develop community outreach and foster links with schools in developing communities, specifically Chanzigi School.
