Good morning Year 4,
Welcome to Week 8 of Home Learning. We hope that you have had a wonderful weekend and that you are ready to get going with your learning this week.
Here is an outline of the learning for this week:
Maths: This week’s video lessons will focus on fractions. You can find extra activities on Purple mash to support your learning of this. In your packs, you will also find time activities to complete. Please continue to use TT Rockstars, tournaments have been set up!
Additional Support: On the Home Learning page there is a new section named Maths Revision. Here you will find videos and activities to support your child recapping key skills from their Autumn Term learning. The sheets to accompany the videos do not need to be printed, your child can complete their work in their exercise book. This week’s revision focus is rounding to the nearest is finding 1000 more or less than a number and comparing numbers.
English: This week we will be focusing on grammar again. We will be revisiting different grammar terms we have looked at during the Autumn term. Please continue to work through the tasks in your home learning booklet. Spellings are available on the Year 4 home learning page as well as activities set up on Purple mash and spelling shed to help your spelling knowledge and accuracy.
Topic Focus: We are focusing on our local area of Crawley. Please have a look at the suggested activities in your home learning pack and continue to work through them. Additionally, please complete the suggested science activities on sound.
RE: Our topic for RE is giving and receiving which focuses on the importance of the Eucharist where Jesus gives himself to us in Word and Sacrament. In your home learning pack, you have some suggested activities for this keep working through these. You should all have your bibles to be able to read the suggested scripture passage.

Hearts of Gold Campaign
